In support of the growing number of family, friends, neighbors and guests who are affected by Breast Cancer, Team Alfie’s has decided to participate in Athena’s Cup this year. The goal of the National Chapter of Athena’s cup is to collect 169,000 bras, along with a $5.00 donation. They will then hook them together for the Guinness Book of records to bring awareness to the Battle against Breast Cancer. Please support us by donating your gently used bra or bras along with a $5.00 donation made payable to Athena’s Cup and we will start our own chain here at Alfie’s until they are collected in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Feel free to decorate the bra any way you choose or place the name of a loved one who has been affected by breast cancer on your bra and let’s see how many unique bras we can collect. An Evening for Ayden!
In May 2010, four-year-old Ayden Jolicoeur was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called “Anaplastic Astrocytoma” (Stage 4). Doctors recommended that Ayden receive a costly form of treatment known as proton therapy as well as chemotherapy.
Ayden’s family needs your help. The aggregate cost of Ayden’s medical treatment and travel expenses is expected to be exorbitant. Your donations can help ease the pain of a family who has already suffered a significant amount of emotional distress.
This is a local family, here in Palm Coast. Ayden’s older brother, Paul, goes to school with our daughter Ashley.
